Advent Calendar

the largest in Germany

Every day, from December 1 through 24, one door opens on each of the 24 houses decorated for Christmas on Quedlinburg’s Schlossberg. Children don’t find out what magical and sweet surprise is hidden behind each door until it’s opened. To take part, children from Quedlinburg, along with their parents and guests, meet every day at 4:30 p.m. (on December 24, as early as 1:00 p.m.) at the Finkenhäuschen, the tourist information office at Finkenherd operated by Quedlinburg-Tourismus-Marketing GmbH, Finkenherd 1/2. From there, everyone searches together for the house with the big A—A for “Advent City Quedlinburg.” And so, day by day, the wait for Christmas Eve grows shorter for children young and old alike.
