Advent at the Stiftshof

In the shadow of St. Cyriakus Collegiate Church in Gernrode, the Stiftshof is transformed into a very special Christmas market. Together with the Protestant parish, organizers have once again put together a varied program. On December 12 and 13, 2026, visitors can look forward to delicious food and drinks as well as select handcrafted goods. To kick things off, the young musicians from the Gernröder will, as is tradition, welcome visitors at the gate of the Stiftshof. With activities such as group Christmas caroling, craft workshops, and organ music, there will be plenty to see and experience for visitors of all ages. Sunday begins with a church service in the Stiftskirche, followed by a performance by the Rainbowsingers. Christmas choral music, a guided tour of the church, and a visit from Santa Claus round out the program on the second day.
